Invited Faculty - Mukut Minz

Dr. Mukut Minz completed his medical degree (M.B.B.S) in 1976 and completed his surgical training (MS, General surgery) at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, India in 1982. Thereafter he joined the Senior Resident Programme in the Department of General Surgery in the same Institute.
He joined the faculty as Assistant Professor in Transplant Surgery in 1986. Currently he is the Professor and Head of Department of Renal Transplant Surgery at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh.
Prof Minz received further training in organ transplantation at the University of Oslo, Norway; University of Heidelberg in Germany, as well as the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA.
His current research interest is in the study of the role of B.Cell in renal transplantation.
He is currently the elected Vice President of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (2012-2014).
